- You stated that Pope John Paul II does not want to break
- with tradition by ordaining women in the church because Jesus
- chose only male Apostles (RELIGION, May 8). So what? Jesus did
- not fly in planes or undergo lifesaving surgery. John Paul has
- done both. The Roman Catholic Church is wrong to put aside half
- its human resources: women.

- If I were the Vatican, I wouldn't take the Anglicans too
- seriously, since they've demonstrated, at least in America,
- that they are more interested in feminism than in substantive
- Christian unity.
